Review: Seconds to Sunrise (Black Ops: Automatik, #3) by Nico Rosso

Seconds to Sunrise (Black Ops: Automatik #3)Seconds to Sunrise by Nico Rosso
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Publication Date:  January 16,  2017

Synopsis

Readers of Maya Banks’s KGI series will love the adrenaline-fueled, pulse-pounding suspense of Nico Rosso’s SECONDS TO SUNRISE

She thought she’d lost everything…

April Banks thought her website crashing was just a glitch. Starting the online forum for war widows has been the only thing keeping her together since her husband died, and she won’t let anything interfere with her work. But this is no technical malfunction—cyberterrorists have targeted the information locked in April’s website and they’ll do anything to get it. Even if that means removing April. Permanently.

He’ll make them pay…

Automatik gave former SAS agent James Sant a way to protect the innocent again. He thinks life in the shadows is all he deserves…until he meets his newest assignment. April is everything James has never let himself want and he knows she’s already had too much heartbreak in her life to risk feeling for him. But keeping things professional while hunting the hackers with the gorgeous widow is going to be the hardest job he’s ever taken on.

This book is approximately 75,000 words

What a cleverly written, fast-paced, suspense romance!

The hero, James Sant is a retired SAS operator who worked as a contract mercenary after leaving the military and before He was recruited by the Automatik organization.
He believes the only way he can repay the debt he owes to society from working as a mercenary is to help as many people he can through Automatik.

The heroine, April Banks created a website called foundation.com as a project to help mourn the loss of her husband.
Her website ended up helping a lot of women who had also been married to military men, and who were all now widows.
When April’s website falls victim to a cyber attack and the data from the site is stolen, Automatik starts an investigating to try and catch the hackers.
James and his partner have had April under surveillance to ensure her safety.
This is where the story gets good, and all of this happens in the first chapter.

This story is well written, the characters well-developed, and the story full of action, suspense and of course romance.
I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

Review: One Minute to Midnight (Black Ops: Automatik, #2) by Nico Rosso

One Minute to Midnight (Black Ops: Automatik #2)One Minute to Midnight by Nico Rosso
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Publication date: July 18, 2016

Synopsis

Nico Rosso, the author of the critically acclaimed Countdown to Zero Hour, returns with Book Two in the Automatik: Black Ops series—a sizzling romantic suspense in which two undercover operators fight to reclaim a small town from the ice-cold grip of gunrunners.

He was her safety.
She was his backup.
Former navy SEAL Ben Jackson knows that sexy “Mary Long” is nothing but a cover; that beneath the stylish clothes and flirty smile is a stone cold super-soldier no one ever gets close to. Until her kiss hits him like one of her sniper rounds.
But Morris Flats is no place for a hookup—menace hums through the town, and the more the two operators keep pushing for answers, the more deadly the current seems to run.
For former Special Forces sniper Mary Kuri, flirting with her muscular teammate feels like playing with fire. It’s hard to tell where the cover ends and the real feelings begin. What she does know is they can’t afford to lose focus.
Their mission is to gather evidence, and with the gunrunners watching their every move, a single mistake could prove fatal.
It’s two against the world, and Ben and Mary are about to discover that not only do the lives of innocent people hang in the balance, but they’re also fighting to save the rare connection they’ve found with each other.

I don’t normally read male romance Author’s, but Nico Rosso has become a favorite of mine.
The first book in this series, Countdown to Zero Hour had me hooked with its intense storyline, fast action, and sizzling chemistry between the H/h.

This book is just as good, if not better.

In this book, Mr. Rosso takes his readers on a wonderfully fast-paced journey to stop a group of gunrunners who have taken over the town of Morris Flats from getting their shipment out of the town and onto the streets.

The two operators sent into the town to gather evidence quickly learn that strangers aren’t welcome and are encouraged to leave town as soon as possible.
The chemistry between Mary and Ben is kindling. They work well together, trust one another, and soon their working cover is more than just a cover when they begin to truly open up to one another and let their real personalities slip through.

One Minute to Midnight had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish, and it seemed I couldn’t read the story fast enough in order to find out what would happen next.

This story is well written, well developed, engaging romantic suspense novel.

I highly recommend this novel, and hope you enjoy this story as much as I did!
